Back then... Two company's hellbent on making the most money on a system for your entertainment went at it in the most memorable gaming war of our time. Mario and his cousins Link and Samus of Nintendo took down Sonic The Hedgehog of Sega in the gaming war of the 80s/early 90s. What happened next: Nintendo broke a contract with Sony to join with Phillips in creating a disc drive for the SNES and Sony fought back with the Playstation. Now we enter a new war with a three way fight. Will it be Nintendo? Microsoft? Or Sony who walks away with the highest market this time? I've played them all, I like them all (except for PS3), but I'm rooting for my champion: Nintendo. So raise your Pepsis or whatever you got my fellow Nintendo fans and here's to the Wii.
Who do you think will win in this era? I say that Nintendo will finish it's job and throw Sony down in flames. Microsoft will either die valiantly or remain a good competator and Nintendo will take the glory again (if they haven't done so already).

I'll raise my Coca Cola half way. Honestly, the 360 had an AWSOME run, I'm sure it'll still put out some great games.
However this Wii, its pulling ahead by a long shot, Its done something that hasn't really be done before in the industry except for arcade games. So I'll raise my Coke to both of them. Even without owning a Wii, they're kick ass!

Hmmm. I'm not sure.
I played the Wii, a couple of my friends have it and I didn't like it, there's alot missing from it that's in the PS3 and 360. For one the graphics.
We're so used to having the brilliant graphics of the 360 and PS3, that the Wii, seems to be falling backwards. The problem is they've made a console with new technology, and because of the advanced technology, it's limited them to poor graphics.
I remember playing this shooting game on it and it reminded me like I was playing the PS1, it didn't feel real, because the characters and your surrounding didn't look real.
Also I have a few friends who have the Wii, and it's actually gone wrong for them, the transmission between the control and the box failed, and without that it's it's buggered.
But don't get me wrong it is good, but the novelty will wear when PS3 and the 360 build better backgrounds (they are still only fairly new), they'll come through, better games will be brought out and the bugs in the systems will be fixed.
So like I said it is a tough one.

Let's talk about in the Nintendo vs Sega era. Who do you think had the better games? Nintendo was d**n hard to beat with it's Zelda, Metroid and Mario franchises, but Sonic actually happened to be my favourite vg character back then. But looking back, I say that Nintendo owned the podium with it's Zelda franchise. That franchise is one of the finest achievements in gaming history.

Nintendo definetly had the big break with Zeldo and Mario, they were huge, yet Sega did have Sonic yes. I had both consoles, Lol! But spent most of my time on the Sega playing Sonic.
The thing was Sega mainly focused on the Sonic franchise, while Nintendo had a variety of different franchises, that were successful, resulting with about 60 million consoles sold, while the sega only had about 12 million. That's a huge difference.

Alright, back to new. Not all games have to have awesome graphics to be good. Take it from me, there's a Zelda game called The Wind Waker and the graphics were cartoonish and mediocre. But it actually had a good storyline and Nintendo had made a fun, decent game for all ages. It actually did so well, the fans demanded a sequal and they came through with it. Here's my point for the graphics:

Yeah, I heard about that game, but I've never played it cause I couldn't. I guess my problem is I've adapted to having games looking realistic, that I wouldn't be able to go back to cartoonish games.
The only cartoonish ones I have is Lego Star Wars and Sonic, but that's as far as I will go, the rest of my games have realistic people.
Obviously I fault of mine! Lol!
I tried even going back to playing some games on the PS1, but I couldn't, the graphics just didn't make the game good enough for me to play! Jeez, I'm soooooo picky! Lol!

God bless grandparents. My reason for that is...
THEY GOT ME AND MY BROTHER A WII!!!!!!!!! HOLY F**K!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!
Not only that, but they also bought one for my friend. We were extremely lucky there. It might take a while to adapt to the controls, but we will have s**t-loads of fun.

I've been playing my friends Wii! Hehe!
It's actually not bad after a while, perhaps I just needed to get used to it. Though I'm only playing the fun games, like the sport games.
Haven't tried major games yet.

Wii Sports is fun to play. Try listening to Gonna Fly Now or Going The Distance from Rocky while playing boxing. The designers at Nintendo are so smart. You actually have to get off your ass to play the game. Zelda is also fun to play. I'm looking forward to fighting Gannondorf in it. I'm getting closer and closer.
