Well I decided to make a thread asking Who does everyone want to make K3?
PS:Please do not turn this into a flame war.... because alot of people have different opinions.
Anyway I would like Bioware and Obsidian to team up and do it, I loved both games and the only reason Obsidian did not put all of the cut content in K2 is because of Lucas Arts and their deadline, I think Obsidian designed the characters great, the influence thing great but Bioware created a better ending for K1 and also I liked K1's storyline a little bit better for some reason.

I think it would be cool if they teamed up. But I don't think it would happen.
Personally I prefered KotOR 2 for the storyline. But the rushed delivery kinda screwed that up.
But KotOR 1 was a better game.

I'd like to see Obsidian do it - if they can try a little patience and make sure it's done well. They've done amazing wqork with next-gen development on other games already.
One can only hope.
*crosses fingers*

Just as long as they don't try and pull their "Love Sucks" philosophy on us again.

<~~~ Is a little scared of all the giant red letters.
But I have to agree with Ambika's point. LucasArts is too concerned about what they consider to be "family friendly." Murder, war, creepy Sith Lords and wanton destruction is acceptable, even funny sometimes.
But love between two characters, even if they share the same gender is considered inappropriate for younger viewers.
Boggles the mind.

I feel that Obsidian shouldn't have got involved because Bioware seemed much better.
Example: There were claims that K1 was better then K2 and I kind of back that up.

K1 was better than K2 for many reasons. But you can blame LucasArts for the condition K2 was in when released - Obsidian created and finalized it based on what the boss told them to do. LucasArts dropped the ball on K2. Check out Oblivian if you want to see what Obsidian is capable of. Their next-gen development could make K3 a masterpiece if they are given the freedom to develop at their own pace.

Asurious, K1 IS better than K2.
I personally think K2 should have never been made. Thanks to it, I have no interest in KotOR series much anymore.
I believe Bioware is only doing their own titles now.
Obsidian will do it most likely, but they better not screw it up this time.
d**n Lucasarts and their d**n release dates.

Sad but true. K2 ruined it for a lot of people. Such good potential and Lucas went for the money first.

Think about it: They'd have made even more money if the game wasnt a piece of $h!†.

Absolutely.
I wonder just how far their short-sightedness can possibly go. It will no doubt affect the sales of KOTOR 3 - if it ever gets made.

Yup, some people gave up on Kotor after K2, Lucas should THINK before he goes off shouting deadlines like he did and he needs to ASK if the company that is making his game when they will be done, instead he was just an idot an chose what he wanted so that caused many Kotor fans to leave Kotor behind for good so I hope he does not expect K3 to make as much money as K1 did.
Also I have been thinking on it and I wonder if Obsidian evem wants to make K3, I mean they got alot of criticism after K2 and alot of their faithful game players left and it probably made a good size mark on the company, and looking at how Lucasarts pushed them the first time around, they probably would not want to try again because if Lucas gave them a stupid deadline again, they probably would refuse to make K3 to not have to put up with all of the criticism and more Obsidian fans leaving.

Obsidian didn't really lose fans... they do have other projects. K2 had too many problems, but Obsidian won't go bankrpt from it.
Also, remember it's LucasArts, a corporation that made the marketing calls. Lucas himself probably just gets the memo once in awhile, but leaves the marketing decisions to the right department. He doesn't set deadlines personally.
