Answers to questions about the Karma system and member ranks:
Karma
The karma system has been enabled on this board. It gives you the opportunity to "exalt" or "smite" your fellow posters, which adds to their reputation.
Karma will not affect your ranking, it simply is a system that allows other members to give you rating. Hopefully, nobody will abuse it.
You may also see a warning level display from time to time. If a member has received any warnings, it will show on their profile in place of their rank/title. You won't see much of that around here.
You may customize your title as well, in your profile.
Member Titles and Ranks:
Title.....................# of posts........................... #of stars
Youngling..........................1........................................1 Force Sensitive.................15......................................2 Padawan..........................40......................................3 Jedi Knight........................75......................................4 Jedi Master......................200.....................................5 (green) Jedi Battlemaster............ 400.....................................5 (green) Grand Master....................1000...................................6 (blue)
Staff members profiles display their position instead of their board ranking.

Exalt: good ;D Smite; bad And you can't see who gave you either one, at least not that I'm aware of. Other forum engines like Invision and Vbulletin have that feature. We're just a wee little Proboards site, and so far it works fine.

I was wondering with this system, on my Smite and Exalt thingy, there are no buttons to press, so I have 0! I was just wondering if this is normal?

when you look at it on your own avatar and stuff, it excludes it, you can't give it to yourself

*Exalts Jimmy for answering the question*
Allright, guys. Please exalt each other as often as you wish, but now that the questions have been answered, let's move the chatter out of the announcement area.
