Hey gang,
A quick word about images and signature lines. You are free to design or link to pretty much anything you want, provided it meets the forum guidelines and the basics in common sense.
But I'm seeing some huge banners and/or pictures in sig lines, and as the site grows in membership numbers, overly large images put a strain on bandwidth. Not only that, an enormous image that takes up half the page can sometimes be annoying.
Effective TODAY 9/27/06 (yesterday for those of you on the other side of the world) all signature and images must meet the following criteria:
Images - When posting images, please make sure they do not contain offensive or distasteful material- use your common sense. Avatars must be no larger than 100x100 pixels. Signatures allow a maximum of 400 characters, and signature banners must be no larger than 500x180 pixels. When posting images in a reply or topic, please do not post an insanely large object- keep it limited to 1000x1000 pixels at the most.
Please check the size of your current sig and resize it if necessary. If you need help, please feel free to ask a staff member.
